Diia.City celebrated its first anniversary with a meeting of the space's residents

On February 15, Kyiv celebrated the anniversary of Diia.Сity, to which the Software Development Hub, represented by Alyona Goncharova, was invited. The event took place at UNIT Innovation Park with the participation of the team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and representatives of the IT industry - Diia.Сity residents. 

According to the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, the Ukrainian IT industry is united, full of energy, and has ambitious development plans. The industry's projected share in Ukraine's GDP may increase from 4% to 10%. This will become the basis for a faster transition to an innovative digital economy, doubling the number of employees to 450,000 by 2025. 

The anniversary celebration summarized the results and identified further steps to develop cooperation between the state and business. The panel discussion focused on improving legislation, tax discrepancies, and establishing communication between the legislative and executive branches of government. 

Aleona Goncharova had the opportunity to receive personal advice from Oleg Bornyakov, Deputy Minister for Digital Transformation on IT Development. They discussed the tax conditions and practical tools which SDH can use when building a transparent corporate structure and attracting additional mechanisms to protect its assets.

In the summer of 2022, Software Development Hub officially became a Diia.Сity resident, joining 451 international and Ukrainian IT companies that are steadily developing the industry in the country during the war. We are working on expanding our presence in Germany, Canada, the United States, and the MENA region and continue supporting our operational and R&D activities in Ukraine.
